Afternoon
We designed the platform and the app for Afternoon — the AI-first operating model that takes data collection, meeting prep, and reporting off an adviser’s desk.

Fintech
Afternoon is an AI-first operating model for financial advice firms. It gathers client data, gets the meeting ready, and drafts the write-up an adviser used to type out that evening. We designed both halves of it — the platform advisers work in and the app they carry between appointments.
Advice runs on admin: chasing fact finds, tidying records, and writing up a review long after the client has gone home.
So we designed an assistant that does that work in the open, and an adviser who can see every step of it before they sign.

Design System & Brand Voice
Afternoon had to read as software a regulated business can trust, and still be something you want to open on a Monday. We built the system on one confident orange, a lot of white, and cards that each hold exactly one job.
Every surface runs on the same parts. A meeting card looks and behaves the same on the platform at nine in the morning as it does in the app between two appointments, so nobody has to learn the product twice.
We wrote the assistant’s voice along with the components. It asks before it acts, says plainly what it found, and never pretends to be a person: “I’ve had a look at your upcoming meetings” — then the list, then the choice.

The system shows up wherever the work happens. On the platform it’s the board an adviser opens first thing. In the app it’s the single card that says which meeting needs attention. In the assistant it’s a thread that remembers the client between conversations.
Each piece is small on its own — a card, a pill, a prompt — and together they’re the thing advisers call Afternoon.
That consistency is what earns the trust: the app never asks twice for something the platform already knows.

The hard part was never the AI. It was the handover — everything an adviser has to pull together before a client meeting, and everything they still owe the file afterwards.
So we designed around that seam. Before a meeting, Afternoon flags the thin records and the agendas nobody has written. Afterwards it turns the recording into a note, lifts the agreed actions out of it, and drafts the review for the adviser to check. The adviser is still the one who signs. The assistant just clears the desk.
