SaaS product design, from first run to renewal.
We design the first-run path that gets a trial user to value fast. And the dense screens that still hold up at year three. Shipped for Quipli, Acronis, and Qantev.

Why SaaS companies choose Humbleteam
Nobody cancels because the product was ugly. They cancel because they never got the first win.
So activation, empty states, and the first 10 minutes get designed first.
Types of SaaS work we take on
Product and marketing. In SaaS the funnel does not stop at signup.
- 01 First run and activation Import, sample data, the first useful action, and progress a user can feel.
- 02 Dashboards and data UI Overview screens, tables, filters, detail views, and reporting at real scale.
- 03 Admin, roles and permissions Invites, SSO, audit logs, and billing, designed as one system.
- 04 Pricing and trial paths Plans a buyer can compare, and the shortest honest route into the product.
- 05 AI features Entry points, empty prompts, editable output, credits and failure states.
- 06 Marketing site Feature and use-case pages, integrations, security, and a component library your team extends.
- 07 Design systems in code Tokens and components with compliance checks, kept in sync with production.
- 08 Brand for B2B Identity that reads as credible to a procurement team and still has a personality.
The three moments that decide a SaaS product
Where we concentrate the work, and why.
The first 10 minutes
Empty product, unfamiliar vocabulary, a user with four other tabs open. We design the shortest path to one real result: imported data, a completed record, a generated report. That result is what turns a trial into a decision.
The day the data gets big
40,000 rows, 12 saved views, 5 teammates with different permissions. An interface that felt clean at launch either scales or gets replaced by a spreadsheet. Table design decides which.
The renewal conversation
Someone has to justify the line item. We design the surfaces that show value: usage, outcomes, reports worth forwarding. The case for renewal should live inside the product.
SaaS work you can read
Three published cases across platform, enterprise web, and AI operations.
How a SaaS engagement runs
Five steps, starting from the numbers in your funnel.
Funnel and product read
Where trials stall, which screens generate support tickets, what power users work around.
Activation pass
First run, empty states, and the first useful action. The fastest measurable win.
Core surfaces
Dashboards, tables, detail views and permissions, designed against real data volumes.
System in code
Tokens and components documented, synced with production, extendable by your team.
Measure and repeat
Activation, time to first value, ticket volume by screen. Then the next worst number.
We have navigated the partnership successfully to date.

Questions?
What SaaS products has Humbleteam designed?
Quipli, a unified platform for independent equipment rental companies; the Acronis web and mobile experience, for a company protecting 750,000 businesses; and Qantev, an AI platform for health insurance operations. All three are published as full case studies on this site.
We need activation fixed, not a redesign. Is that a project you take?
Yes — it is our preferred first project. A focused pass on first run, empty states, and the first useful action ships inside your existing design system. It scopes to a few weeks and produces a measurable change in trial-to-active before you commit to anything larger.
Do you design the marketing site as well as the product?
Yes, and in SaaS we recommend it. Pricing, trial signup, and the pages sales sends are part of the same funnel as onboarding. Splitting them between two suppliers is how a product ends up feeling like two companies.
Can you work inside our existing design system?
Yes, and it is usually cheaper. We extend what you have, document what was undocumented, and flag the components that conflict. Replacing a working system is a last resort.
How does the AI infrastructure service apply to a SaaS team?
Two ways. Inside your design team, agents take handoff, resizing, asset production, and design QA, so your designers spend their time on the hard screens. Inside your product, we design the AI features themselves: entry points, editable output, limits, and failure states. The AI flow design for SaaS page covers the second.
Do you do UX research for B2B products?
Yes. B2B research is mostly watching people work: session recordings with power users, support-ticket clustering, and interviews with the person who signs the renewal. Recruiting is harder than in consumer products, so we plan it early.
