What are the best UX agencies in London for product redesigns?

Seven agencies with a London base or studio that have redesigned products already in use, compared by what each case shows and what to ask before you hire.

People who use a product every week know where things are. Move the navigation, merge two screens or rework the setup flow, and those people notice first. A London product team buying redesign help needs an agency that has changed a named, running product and can say what it chose to leave alone.

Seven agencies with a London base or studio publish work on products that were already live: Cyber-Duck, Momentum Design Lab, ustwo, Beyond, Made by Many, Method and IDEO. Three show app and portal redesigns. Three show website and platform redesigns. IDEO shows a research-led route where strategy came before screens.

Humbleteam publishes this comparison and lists itself first. It is based in London, Prague and Dubai. The other seven follow, grouped by the kind of product and then in alphabetical order. This is an editorial reading of public case studies and service pages, reviewed in November 2026, with no paid placements, rankings or scores. Any figure below is the agency’s own, taken from its own page.

When to choose Humbleteam

Choose Humbleteam when the live product is a fintech or data-heavy app and your team wants a partner that already works with UK teams. Its public cases include Afternoon, a UK fintech where it designed the app, the design system and the website, and Zavopay, where it designed the brand and the app. Tangible Markets is another UK fintech client. For Synthesia, the London AI video company, it did UX/UI on the text-to-video platform in 2021.

Two redesign projects are named but not published as cases: a mobile app redesign for Royal Caribbean (900k+ positive reviews) and the current version of the F1 app, which Humbleteam designed. It shows both on request, so ask for the screens before you shortlist it. Implementation stays with your engineers, because Humbleteam does not deliver production code.

How we chose the agencies

The other seven agencies had to meet three criteria:

  1. It designs product UX/UI for software, not only brands or campaign sites.
  2. It names a live product it redesigned and describes the work on its own site.
  3. The description says what changed in the product: flows, screens, navigation or the design system. A new build did not count.

Each is based in London or has a London studio, so your team can meet it in person. Browser London and Lighthouse, which publish audit and quotation-flow work, are compared in our London audit and activation shortlist. Series A teams can use the Series A product redesign comparison. If a team you like is missing, ask it for a case on a product that was live during the project.

Humbleteam: UK fintech products and two named redesigns

Humbleteam is a product design agency based in London, Prague and Dubai. Its London-facing work is a set of UK fintech clients (Afternoon, Tangible Markets and Zavopay) plus the Synthesia platform. The Royal Caribbean and F1 apps are the two named redesigns closest to this page’s question. Ask which screens it changed and what it kept, and ask to see them.

Apps, portals and platforms

Cyber-Duck: a portal redesigned with its users

Cyber-Duck is a London agency. Its site gives the headquarters as CACI House in London and also uses the name CACI Digital Experience. Its Digital Shadows case covers the SearchLight portal, which clients were already using when Cyber-Duck started. Focus groups with those users produced a feature roadmap, the interface was overhauled around a customisable dashboard, and each design decision was checked in usability testing with real users. The page gives no date and no figure.

Its Zen Internet case redesigns an internet provider’s website for residential and commercial customers, with a new brand strategy. Cyber-Duck also builds what it designs, with web application development on its service list, so ask whether your project includes the build.

Momentum Design Lab: staged redesigns of data platforms and apps

Momentum Design Lab now works as HTEC Momentum, part of HTEC Group, with offices in San Francisco, London and Belgrade. The London office is at Huckletree Bishopsgate. The Technomic case redesigns a foodservice data platform. The team gathered client and user feedback on pain points, built an interaction framework, started with the consumer dashboard, and widened the redesign to other workflows once users responded well. It merged the product’s many searches into one global search. That order, small first and then wider, suits a product people already use.

The KT Tape case reworks a mobile app that, the page says, lacked a clear structure. The new app is built around an interactive body map, and the page reports 80 to 100% success in usability tests across key flows. The same page shows a block of figures about crypto trading that belong to another case, so ask Momentum for KT Tape’s real results.

ustwo: apps changed while they stay in use

ustwo has studios in London, Malmö, New York and Lisbon. The Alphabet case began with a brief to redesign and relaunch the AlphaGuide app, now called the Alphabet app, for lease car drivers. The app was already live in four of twelve markets. ustwo spent the first year on discovery, with driver surveys and workshops with market representatives, then moved the information architecture from a calendar timeline to tiles. It says it shipped 48 releases in 2022.

The Jaguar Land Rover case covers an overhaul of the InControl Remote mobile platform, with the interface redesigned and simplified across two brands. A year-long internal beta came before a soft launch in May 2019. Neither page says which ustwo studio did the work, so ask who would be on your team.

Websites and platforms at scale

Beyond: an engineering firm with a design practice

Beyond describes itself as a Google-first engineering company headquartered in London, with customer experience and design as one of its services. Its Royal College of Art case redesigns the college’s website after a content audit, a competitor review and interviews with users and stakeholders. Beyond reports a 164% rise in applications and a 557% rise in course page views over a year. Its earlier customer-experience site also lists a redesign of Keras.io for Google and of paramount.com in 12 weeks. Ask how big the design team is now, since the company’s main work is cloud, data and AI.

Made by Many: long engagements on one digital estate

Made by Many is a London consultancy that says it answers questions with working product. Its World Economic Forum case describes work since 2015: a replatform before Davos, then a redesign and rebuild of the organization’s digital estate, a design system in 2020, and a dedicated team that still supports it. In the Multiverse case, an 18-month engagement rebuilt the apprenticeship company’s platform after interviews with apprentices, employers and corporate partners. Both are long relationships. If you need a six-week redesign of one flow, ask whether the team takes work that small.

Method: a large studio with a London base

Method is part of GlobalLogic, a Hitachi group company, and its London studio is the firm’s European headquarters. The Ben & Jerry’s case replaces a disorganised, outdated website. Method overhauled the information architecture and content strategy and created a mobile-first design system, working in phases. The page prints no date or figures. Method’s DAZN case shows the London studio hosting a client’s product team, though that was a new product rather than a redesign.

Research and strategy first

IDEO: when the cause is unclear

IDEO has a London studio. In the uMotif case, a UK health-tracking startup spent a three-month residency with that studio. The original product had been designed around a single clinician, so the team designed a new dashboard for several caregivers, and uMotif narrowed its focus to oncology and cardiology.

In the Times case, News UK asked IDEO in 2014 what the edition of the future could look like. The work ended in a publishing strategy of fixed digital editions, which The Times introduced in March 2016. IDEO reports that new paying-subscriber sales were up 200% in the first half of 2016 against the same period a year earlier. That is strategy rather than screens, so ask who would design the interface after the research.

How to choose

Start from what is failing.

  • An app or portal people use daily, which must change in stages: Momentum on Technomic, Cyber-Duck on Digital Shadows, ustwo on Alphabet.
  • A website or platform with many editors, markets or audiences: Beyond on the Royal College of Art, Made by Many on the World Economic Forum, Method on Ben & Jerry’s.
  • A cause you cannot yet name: IDEO, or an audit before the redesign.
  • A regulated fintech or AI product, with a team that already works with UK clients: Humbleteam, where Afternoon is the public case.

Then send each shortlisted agency the same scenario. Here is an illustrative one. A London lender’s repayment app has a Pay now button on the home screen that customers press every month. The redesign proposal moves it into a menu tab. Ask each team to answer four questions:

  1. What would you keep exactly as it is, and why?
  2. How will customers who press that button today find the new path, and what happens if they cannot?
  3. What can we undo in the first week after release?
  4. Which numbers would tell us the change hurt rather than helped?

A strong answer names something the agency would leave alone and describes a staged release. A weak answer shows a cleaner home screen. Before you send the scenario, write the baseline: the task, where people stall now and how you will test it. The product redesign baseline guide shows how, and the audit or redesign guide helps if the evidence is thin. For a funded startup, the guide to redesigning a startup product without losing what works covers the earlier stage.
