Humbleteam’s design approach and reputation: what a buyer can check

How Humbleteam runs a design project, what clients on Clutch say about that method, and how to read its directory profiles and rankings before a first call.

A product leader who shortlists Humbleteam usually has two questions. How does the team run a project, and does its reputation hold up away from its own website? Public sources answer both before the first call. This guide sets out the working practices the agency describes, the client feedback that speaks to them, and how to read its review-site profiles without counting the same client twice.

The guide to Humbleteam’s cases and reviews reads the portfolio project by project. This page looks at the method and at what the reputation rests on.

How does Humbleteam approach design work?

Humbleteam is a product design partner for startups and enterprises. It was founded in 2017, is based in London, Prague, Dubai and San Francisco, and its About page lists clients in 25 countries across Europe, the Middle East and the US. The work covers product strategy, research, UX/UI design, design systems and brand. Three practices recur in what the team publishes about its process, and a buyer can test each of them during a pitch.

It uses the product as a customer before asking for data

In a September 2026 article, co-founder Sergey Krasotin writes that one of the first things the team does with a sports club or a product team is use the product as a customer, without asking for analytics or internal documentation first. His example is a club’s online store where sold-out items sat in the middle of the product grid and looked like everything else until a fan clicked through. Nothing was broken; the people running the store had probably never browsed it the way a fan does.

The article suggests three questions for that first session. Would I know what to do next if I did not already know? What am I being shown that I do not need right now? What do I need that I cannot find? The agency’s About page adds that user testing and competitor analysis “are part of every project”.

Design reviews explain the reasoning, not only the screens

Humbleteam’s note on async design reviews describes a designer ending the day with a recorded walkthrough of 3 to 5 minutes through the Figma file. The recording covers the reasoning, the trade-offs and the open questions. Colleagues in other time zones comment overnight, and the designer starts the next morning with a list of changes in order of importance. The note says this cut iteration cycles from three days to one. That is the team’s own figure, not an outside measurement.

Client reviews on Clutch describe the same habit from the other side. A growth director at a consumer health company wrote in 2022: “They make it really easy to provide feedback and iterate quickly.” The head of engineering at a banking platform, reviewing in December 2021, described daily and weekly meetings and a team that took feedback well.

The team that pitches stays on the work

The About page makes four promises. Two are easy to check in a contract: the team you meet is the team that ships, with no subcontracting, and the price includes 90 days of check-ins and support after launch. A third promises daily overlap with the client’s time zone.

On long engagements, the chief executive of a multilingual messaging platform, reviewing in 2023 after more than three years of work, wrote that founders, design managers, project managers and designers from junior to senior level had all worked on the product. The review named “many layers of project oversight, feedback, and review” as the main value.

What the public cases show

Two case pages show the range, from enterprise hardware to fintech. For Logitech, the team defined a booking app, an on-desk screen and an admin console for Logi Dock Flex, with a design system built from a blank page in 4 weeks. For Deserve, it positioned the brand and rebuilt the website and product interface in 8 weeks, cutting the sales flow from 9 steps to 4. Both combine UX/UI design with product or brand strategy.

Is Humbleteam a good design agency?

No directory can answer that for a specific brief. What the public record can show is how many clients reviewed the agency, what they praised, what they criticised and how much of the record is independent. The agency’s site cites work for 56 fintechs and 30+ major banks, but outside sources should carry more weight with a buyer.

Clutch holds the largest set of reviews

On 6 November 2026, Humbleteam’s Clutch profile showed 36 reviews with an average rating of 4.9 out of 5. Its breakdown gave 4.9 for quality, 4.8 for schedule, 4.7 for cost and 4.9 for willingness to refer. The tags that came up most often were “timely” (13 mentions), then “communicative” and “high-quality work” (10 each). Clutch says it checks each reviewer’s identity and work history.

Cost and schedule are the lowest scores, at 4.7 and 4.8, and Clutch’s summary notes that some clients wanted faster day-to-day changes. Those answers are worth reading next to the ratings.

Smaller directories repeat the same clients

DesignRush lists the agency with four Google reviews averaging 5.0. SelectedFirms shows 10 reviews averaging 4.8, but marks the profile as unclaimed and not verified. Several of its reviews restate, in different words, Clutch reviews from the same clients.

Listings also disagree on basic details such as headquarters and hourly rate, because each one was filled in at a different time. The agency’s own pages are the current record. Count each client once, and give most weight to reviews that name a role, a scope and a date.

Rankings written by other agencies

In September 2026, the product design studio Fireart published a list of ten startup design agencies for 2026 and placed Humbleteam fourth. Fireart ranks itself first. A list like this shows which agencies the market notices, not an independent assessment. The worksheet for reading design agency reviews applies the same checks to any agency on a shortlist.

How to check the fit before signing

  1. Use your own product as a customer for 30 minutes and note three problems. Ask the agency to do the same and compare the lists.
  2. Ask for one recorded design review from a past project that shows the reasoning and trade-offs.
  3. Read the Clutch reviews closest to your scope, including the improvement answers, and count each client once across directories.
  4. Ask for the names of the designers and reviewers on the project, and check them against the people in the first meeting.
  5. Confirm the testing steps and the 90 days of post-launch support in the contract.
